Elements Of Narrative Refelection

  1. Narration is telling a portrayal of events like a story, and a Narrator is a person telling the event.

2. Omniscient narration tells the audience everything, while restricted narration only tells the audience a small amount.

3. The camera narrator allows the audience to see action from the camera's point of view, while third-person narrators are able to tell information that narrators cannot. Narrators inject themselves into the story, while third-person narrators are "standing behind" them and know how everything plays out. A first-person narrator is where information in the story is told by the character, compared to a third-person, where at a "distance" the narrator is able to give insight.

4. Major characters can not be flat because they are the main focus of the story, and flat characters do not provide as much of an impact in the story as a round character would be better suited for. A minor character could not be round because then that would defeat the purpose of them being a minor character, as round characters are impactful to the story.

5. Climax is the height of the narrative, where the greatest conflict lies. It related to the protagonist's pursuit of the goal because the protagonist may need to make a life or death choice or overcome what was holding them back.

6. This diegesis of the story is the world or setting in which the narrative takes place. The difference between diegetic and non-diegetic elements in the plot is that diegetic elements are apart of what makes up the diegesis's world, and nondiegetic elements are things not included in that world, such as the ending credits of a movie or special mentions.

7. Major events are supposed to help advance the movie's plot, and minor events give characters their own personality without being of mass importance to the movie.
